[untitled]

Our university had a TED talk style conference that would see young people from the advertising industry giving advice and sharing their experiences to help us along our own journey in the industry.

We were asked to create the whole thing almost from scratch.

I named the conference. I felt that “untitled” represented the modern day equivalent of a “blank canvas”, and so we were very keen to keep the design of the logo very simple, almost basic. As a result, we stuck to primary shapes, squares and circles, 3 bold and cool colours, and a classic font in the shape of Helvetica Neue.

I worked with a team of 3, and at first we all went away and designed logos ourselves. In hindsight this was perhaps not the best way to work, but I feel that we managed to incorporate our designs together in one satisfactory logo.

The bracket motif also enabled a great way to frame and contain everything, from tickets to passes, and even the poster for the event.

We also focused on promoting the brand through social media, deciding that our target audience was primarily on Instagram, and we also filmed a short promo for the event.
